Why is it that when people get puppies, they (the dogs, that is--not the people) always have some sort of serious medical problem from the very first day, e.g. diabetes, arthritis, cancer, etc? Then you have to get all these pills and syringes and tests and stuff. It's almost like getting a puppy is like buying a really hairy and small old person. They're all very specifically sick from a very young age.
I also plan on writing up the most entertaining, embarrassing, and horrifying story of my Peace Corps service sometime soon. Look for it in the coming days as a belated Christmas present and a great way to ring in the New Year.
