The Oregon Trail, Day 6: Wednesday, December 6, 2006. 7:50 a.m. - We leave the warm embrace of Nicole's house in Portland for Seattle. 8:40 a.m. - We pull over into a gas station because, as always, I have to go to the bathroom. This is the first bathroom on the entire trip that is accessed from the outside and not the inside of the gas station. Incidentally, the bathroom looks like a room where you would hose off an elephant. 9:54 a.m. - On the opposite side of the freeway, a tour bus passes by that says, "Legal Alternative Clinic." 10:23 a.m. - An exit in Washington is for "Skukumchuck." 11:00 a.m. - I wrote down "the Tacoma Dome" but I have no idea what this means. 12:05 p.m. - We arrive at Katie Meyer's house in Seattle, WA! 1:12 p.m. - Once we get on the interenet, Kelly and I find the desired pictures of elephant, whale, and lion fetuses. We do not find a picture of a giraffe fetus. 1:16 p.m. - We look at a college class' webpage about animal fetuses and when I remark on the attractiveness of the professor, Katie sees his picture and says, "Aww, aren't you cute?! Sweetums!" 1:40 p.m. - There is a claim made that ice makes every drink better. 3:15 p.m. - Kelly and I leave to walk around for a few hours while Katie is in a meeting. I buy a used copy of Lily Allen's import album, which makes me enormously excited. 6:40 p.m. - "Who taught you to skip your bill? Your whore mother?" - Katie. 6:52 p.m. - "So did that sky thing get x'ed out forever?" - me, "You mean the monorail?" - Katie. 7:10 p.m. - "We like to fuck women while we play football." - Katie. 7:13 p.m. - "Would I take off my clothes for money? Yes. Would I sleep with someone for money? Yes. Do I have morals? No. I have loans." - me. 10:08 p.m. - "I'm suprised they're so comfortable considering..." - Katie, "That they're pleather high heels?" - me. 10:16 p.m. - "Would you like a flashlight to shine through that? Because I don't have one." - Katie. 10:36 p.m. - "Sam knows a woman who is a phone." - me.
