The great thing about curse words in Turkmen is that instead of directly telling someone what you want--e.g. eat shit, die motherfucker, kiss my ass, etc.--you make a request from the person. The most common dirty word in Turkmen is "ejengi sikayin" which roughly translates to "may I fuck your mother?" "Mother" is often replaced with "sister" or "brother."
Another popular phrase is "yer chekin" which also has a rough translation of "may the earth come up and take you." Which is a little tame, to say the least.
While the Turkmen people may be some of the more publicly and personally rude people I have ever met, one thing is certain: when it comes to fucking your mom and wishing the earth to swallow you, they always ask politely.
